Recent Stock Purchase V – July 2015

What a week! Market took a further dip under the water in last 2 days of 4th week and several positions got filled up. I end up investing 4,555.00 in the 4th week of July 23rd-24th. I plan to use these Dividend Growth Investing stocks to fuel my passive dividend income in the coming weeks and months. My freedom portfolio is listed here: Portfolio.

Below are the companies that I put my capital on towards my race for earning $3000 per month in 3000 days. This month, I’ll be completing 90 days of race, what a zapping race it has been, so far 🙂

1) BofA, Corp. (BAC): 15 positions at $18.00 on 7/24: $270.00
2) ConocoPhillips (COP): 10 positions at $55.00 on 7/23: $550.00
3) Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (DLR): 10 positions at $65.00 on 7/23: $650.00
4) Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI): 10 positions at $35.00 on 7/23: $350.00
5) Main Street Capital (MAIN): 10 positions at $31.00 on 7/24: $300.00
6) New Mountain Finance (NMFC): 30 positions at $14.50 on 7/23: $435.00

8) Royal Dutch Shell (RDS B): 10 positions at $55.00 on 7/24: $550.00
9) AT&T Inc. (T): 20 positions at $34.00 on 7/23: $680.00
10) Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM): 5 positions at $80.00 on 7/24: $400.00

With heavy shopping being done for this month, I’ll be slowing down and take a breather. Will the moody market throw some curve balls and bent on pushing me harder, time will tell 😉

I’ve already received several dividends this month and they will be working for me to earn more dividends, setting off a compounding engine. That’s the beauty of growing dividends working for themselves and propel towards the cherished la-la land of financial independence.

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

Thanks for reading.

Do you own or like any of these stocks.

  1. You have bought some of the fantastic companies and I also own some of them: COP, DLR, KMI, OHI, T, RDS.B, and XOM. This shopping will serve you good in coming time for sure. Your compounding engine has started racing 🙂 Best.

    • Hi PIM,

Yeah. I hope that I bought some fantastic companies 🙂 Glad that we are fellow shareholders in some of them. It helps me to get confirmation from other great DGI bloggers like yourself and derive inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by and appreciated your thoughtful comments.

  2. Wow that’s a lot of buys, congrats on adding so many solid companies in your portfolio. Good timing on the purchases to take advantage of the market drop.

    • Hi Tawcan,

Appreciate liking some of the solid companies on the block. Yea! It was by chance I got hold of some good deals while market was down. But, you never know when they will pop up and we have to take advantage 🙂 I feel lucky to pluck some of them.

    • Hi NNL,

My commissions are not much as a percentage of the buy as I use IB, a dollar apiece. That’s the reason, I try to break the positions into multiple buys, giving me some bang for the buck if market goes down. Also, this allows me to average down the cost for a stock, if it keeps going down and I like it to hold it for 10-15 yrs or longer. As long as dividends are safe, I feel comfortable with my stock positions 🙂 Everyone has a different risk tolerance and all have their individual circumstances. So, what works for me, may or may not work for other investors.

  3. Busy, busy, busy with many buys. You are on the fast track to collecting those dividends. You definitely got some high current yield with this batch of buys.

Yeah. I want to run my race just at $1 per day and need to invest accordingly. Race is turning out to be much more difficult than I envisioned. so far, so good. No complaints. Need to keep working hard. I’m sure with all DGI bloggers support, hope to keep racing and be able to inspire some and receive some inspiration as well. It is a shared journey as I wrote earlier.
