Recent Stock Purchase II – September 2016

What a brutal Friday it was with Dow down almost 400 points. Although, I did not catch the bottom but added positions in 3 existing companies in second week of September. I plan to keep adding these dividend growth stocks to grow my passive dividend income to a point where all my expenses are covered by passive income generated by them.

Below are the companies where I put my capital on towards my race for earning $3000 per month in 3000 days. Last month, I completed 480 days of my freedom race and it was nice to have crossed $1500 in passive income for the first time this year. Without further ado:

1) Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS): 5 positions at $54.60 on 9/06
2) Chatham Lodging Trust, Inc (CLDT): 10 positions at $20.50 on 9/09
3) Flower Foods, Inc. (FLO): 10 positions at $14.95 on 9/09

Due to addition of new companies over last several months, total number is 95 wonderful companies in my portfolio.

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

    • Hi Jason,

Thank you. I use a multiple of brokerages: TDAmeritrade, Merrill Lynch, IB, Tradeking and Sharebuilder, as you never know the risk. I know they should not blow up like big banks 🙂 however, it is a good idea to spread your capital into different baskets. Thanks for stopping by.

    • Hi Lanny,

Ha! We have done our bit to move up the price 🙂 I still like FLO and going to buy more of it if price dips. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
