Recent Stock Purchase II – August 2016

I added a new company: Sysco Corp. (SYY) and added positions in 4 existing companies in second week of August. I plan to keep adding these dividend growth stocks to grow my passive dividend income to a point where all my expenses are covered by passive income generated by them.

Below are the companies where I put my capital on towards my race for earning $3000 per month in 3000 days. Last month, I completed 450 days of my freedom race and it was nice to have crossed $1000 in passive income for the third time this year. Without further ado:

1) Flower Foods, Inc. (FLO): 20 positions at $15.08 on 8/12
2) Royal Bank of Canada (RY): 5 positions at $61.77 on 8/11
3) Sr. Housing Properties (SNH): 15 positions at $21.87 on 8/11
4) Sysco Corp. (SYY): 5 positions at $51.22 on 8/09
5) Verizon Com. (VZ): 5 positions at $53.92 on 8/11

Due to addition of new companies over last several weeks, total number is 95 wonderful companies in my portfolio.

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

    • Hi IH,

Absolutely, nibbling only a little bit as PE ratios are getting inflated, actually, whenever I pull a trigger, I’m scared as market is getting expensive by day. If there is black swan event occurring, this market can easily tank by 20-30% and therefore, this surreal feeling. However, we have to look at silver lining and keep at it consistently: its impossible to time the market. Thanks for stopping as always.

    • Hi DD,

Yeah, FLO is the flavor of season right now and seems like only few companies that are reasonably valued. I’m finding a bit hard these days companies that are at fair valuations: a tough market to dabble in many-2 years, and we need to be careful. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

        • Hi Kelly,

PG is almost close to all time high with a PE ratio of close to 25, again on a higher side. I like PG but with such valuations, I’ll be careful to buy at such levels. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
