Recent Stock Purchase I – November 2016

I added positions in 3 existing companies in first week of November. I plan to keep adding these dividend growth stocks to grow my passive dividend income to a point where all my expenses are covered by passive income generated by them.

Below are the companies where I put my capital on towards my race for earning $3000 per month in 3000 days. Last month, I completed 54days of my freedom race and it was nice to have crossed $1500 in passive income for the third time this year. Without further ado:

1) AbbVie Inc. (ABBV): 5 positions at $56.79 on 11/02
2) Chatham Lodging Trust (CLDT): 10 positions at $16.78 on 11/04
3) HCP Inc. (HCP): 10 positions at $30.04 on 11/02

Due to addition of new companies over last several months and splits of HCP and YUM to QCP and YUMC respectively, total number is 97 companies in my portfolio.

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

  1. R2R –

There you go – yep, captured those shares in HCP and Yum then, eh? Nice purchases, being consistent and striving to get to your goals. I hope QCP has a solid dividend starting in 2017, to replace the gap from the drop in HCP’s dividend.

    • Hi Lanny,

Ha! I captured few shares 🙂 There is a pronounced volatility in the reit segment due to fed rate increase jitters, but, in case fed does raise the rates, it will only indicate that economy is getting better and by extension better earnings. This could portend further gains and in the meantime, we can keep drinking low-calorie passive income juice. In this scenario, its a good time to be adding these companies. Thanks for stopping by as always.
