Dividend Income Update – September 2015

I’ve completed 150 days of freedom race and it has been awesome with the great support of DGI bloggers. I’m truly blessed to be posting it from the country where Statue of Liberty stands. It stands for freedom and I hope to achieve my own financial freedom in 3000 days when I complete my race.

I’m super excited to write about my passive dividend checks that I received last month of September. They are now pouring into my account without me lifting any fingers. So far, I’ve got 52 fantastic companies in my growing Portfolio.

I hope that this passive income report provides inspiration to all the readers out there that even when you are starting out fresh, you can still do it. Although, it is a long race: slow and steady, we can win it on our terms and time. Without further ado, here are dividends received:

Avista Corp. (AVA) : $6.60
Bank of America (BAC): $2.50
BHP Billiton plc (BBL): $99.20
BP plc (BP): $18.00
Care Capital Properties Inc. (CCP): $1.14
ConocoPhillips (COP): $11.10
Chevron Corp. (CVX): $26.75
Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (DLR): $42.50
Emerson Electric (EMR): $2.35
Gilead Sciences (GILD): $2.15
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ): $7.50
Main Street Capital Corp. (MAIN): $5.25
New Mountain Finance Corp. (NMFC): $10.20
National Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NOV): $4.60
Realty Income Corp. (O): $19.00
Pepsico Inc. (PEP): $3.51
Pfizer Inc. (PFE): $2.80
Royal Dutch Shell, Inc. (RDS B): $37.60
Southern Company (SO): $16.28
STAG Industrials, Inc. (STAG): $3.45
Ventas Inc. (VTR): $14.60
Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC): $3.75
Exxon Mobil (XOM): $3.65

Total passive dividend income for September: $344.48. So far, I’ve received $696.50 as passive dividend income and ahead of target. I revised my target upwards to $1500 in Goals.

Instead of getting a single salary once a month, I got paid by 23 fantastic companies throughout the month, simply by owning a tiny sliver of a slice. Imagine that there are thousands of people hired by those companies and that they are working for you, rather than, you working for them. This feeling of achieving financial freedom over 3000 days, is what drives me to keep racing and I’m sure readers alike!

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

How did your passive dividend income come along in September?

Thanks for reading!

  1. Race on. Great totals for September and I can only imagine an insane finish to 2015 after all that fresh capital you have been adding which will translate into dividends for the final quarter of the year. nice long list of companies too. Thanks for sharing.

    • Hi DH,

Yeah. I’m also looking forward to superb closing of this year and see how next year pan out. You are also building a nice nest egg over there with Roth IRA maximized. Great job right there. I was going to buy few more energy companies this week, however, they starting shooting.

  2. R2R,

That’s a huge tally for someone who’s only been at it for a short time. But with all the capital you’ve been able to put to work lately, it’s no surprise. You should see excellent YOY growth when you’re able to look back on things next summer. Very exciting!!

    Best regards.

    • Hi DM,

Definitely, I was excited to the core after getting so many dividend checks. Most of the stocks have moved up quite a bit since last couple of weeks and finding difficult to find opportunities in this market. I was hoping Oct will provide a great buying chance but it has not panned out so far. Congrats for reaching milestone of over $1000 in passive income.

Thanks for stopping by and appreciate your comments
