Dividend Income Update – February 2016

I’ve completed 300 days of freedom race and it has been awesome with the great support of DGI bloggers. I’m truly blessed to be posting it from the country where Statue of Liberty stands. It stands for freedom and I hope to achieve my own financial freedom in 3000 days when I complete my race.

Wow. I crossed milestone figure of $500 in passive income again, holy smoking. I’m super excited to write about my passive dividend checks that I received in month of February. They are now pouring into my account without doing any work. So far, I’ve got 73 fantastic companies in my growing Portfolio

I hope that this passive income report provides inspiration to all the readers out there that even when you are starting out fresh, you can still do it. Although, it is a long race: slow and steady, we can win it on our terms and time. Without further ado, here are dividends received:

Apple Inc. (AAPL) : $7.80
Abbott Laboratories (ABT): $7.80
Caterpillar Inc. (CAT): $3.85
General Dynamics Inc. (GD): $3.45
Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. (GMCR): $9.75
Gov. Properties Income Trust (GOV): $21.50
HCP, Inc. (HCP): $80.49
Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI): $31.25
Main Street Capital Corp. (MAIN): $19.80
Realty Income Corp. (O): $19.85
Omega Healthcare Inv., Inc. (OHI): $85.50
ONEOK Inc. (OKE): $123.00
Proctor & Gamble Company (PG): $23.20
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (POT): $19.00
Sr. Housing Properties Trust (SNH): $39.00
STAG Industrial, Inc. (STAG): $8.10
AT&T, Inc. (T): $48.00
Verizon Comm. Inc. (VZ): $56.50

Total passive dividend income for February: $607.84. So far, I’ve received $1125.79 as passive dividend income.

Instead of getting a single salary once a month, I got paid by 18 fantastic companies throughout the month, simply by owning a tiny sliver of a slice. Imagine that there are thousands of people hired by those companies and that they are working for you, rather than, you working for them. This feeling of achieving financial freedom over 3000 days, is what drives me to keep racing and I’m sure readers alike!

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

How did your passive dividend income come along in February?

Recent Stock Purchase IV – February 2016

I added positions in 3 existing companies in final week of February. I plan to keep adding these dividend growth stocks to grow my passive dividend income to a point where all my expenses are covered by the passive income generated by them.

Below are the companies where I put my capital on towards my race for earning $3000 per month in 3000 days. This month, I’ll complete 300 days of my freedom race. It was great to have crossed $500 in passive income last month for the first time :) Without further ado:

1) HCP, Inc. (HCP): 10 positions at $29.67 on 2/26
2) Ventas Inc. (VTR): 10 positions at $55.08 on 2/26
3) Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM): 5 positions at $83.00 on 2/26

Last year, I trimmed positions in Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) and ONEOK, Inc. (OKE) for tax-harvesting purpose, however, I may add them this year As a result of addition of new companies over last several weeks, total number went up to 73 wonderful companies in my portfolio.

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

Thanks for reading.

Recent Stock Purchase III – February 2016

I could not believe that I added 4 new companies: Walt Disney Co. (DIS), Starbucks Corp. (SBUX), American Express Co. (AXP), Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX) and additional positions in 3 existing companies in third week of February. I’ve been considering first three companies since a long time but they seemed over-valued all along, great companies rarely go on sale. Owning small positions provide a chance to observe them and dollar cost average them over a period of time. FCX is more a play on the commodity segment that I’ve not owned much in my portfolio.

Below are the companies where I put my capital on towards my race for earning $3000 per month in 3000 days. Last month, I completed 270 days of my freedom race and finally breached barrier of $500 in passive income. It was a big big milestone for me and I’m sure for all DGI investors. Without further ado:

1) Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM): 10 positions at $33.06 on 2/16
2) American Express Co. (AXP): 5 positions at 54.54 on 2/16
3) Caterpillar Inc. (CAT): 5 positions at $64.53 on 2/19
4) Walt Disney Co. (DIS): 5 positions at $94.75 on 2/19
5) Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX): 100 positions at $5.98 on 2/16
6) Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. (OHI): 10 positions at $30.22 on 2/19
7) Starbucks Corp. (SBUX): 5 positions at $56.70 on 2/17

With the addition of 4 new companies over last 2 weeks: AbbVie Inc., McDonald’s Corp (MCD), IBM Corp. (IBM), National Health Investors, Inc. (NHI) and 4 companies this week: total number went up to 73 wonderful companies in my portfolio. I’ve couple of new companies to add in my portfolio, watch out for my next post 🙂

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.
