Recent Stock Purchase V – June 2015

I’m excited to report that I invested another sum of $1,743.25 in the final week of June 29th. I plan to use these Dividend Growth Investing (DGI) stocks to fuel my passive dividend income.

Below are 4 companies that I put my capital on to bootstrap my race towards earning $3000 per month in 3000 days and that equals a pace of @ $1 per day :) Summer has been hot for my race!

1) The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS): 10 positions at $53.00 on 6/29 : $530.00
2) JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM): 5 positions at $67.85 on 6/29: $339.25
3) Verizon Comm. (VZ): 10 positions at $47.40 on 6/29: $474.00
4) BHP Billiton plc (BBL): 5 positions at $40.00 on 6/30: $400.00

It was a perfect finale to the final week of June when I fired my final salvo for this month. This has been the most active month as I was just kick starting my race and I do not think I’ll be investing so much capital every month.

However, I plan to add to stocks whenever correction happens in them and I’ll be a happy camper to collect my dividend checks in my bank account :)

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

Do you like any of my buy or planning to consider them for your future addition.

Recent Stock Purchase IV – June 2015

I invested a total sum of $3,237.34 in the week of June 22nd. I plan to use these Dividend Growth Investing (DGI) stocks to fuel the passive dividend income over a period of time.

Below are 6 companies that I put my capital on to bootstrap my race towards earning $3000 per month in 3000 days and that equals a pace of @ $1 per day :) I’ll be writing more about it in later posts, stay tuned!

1) Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI): 10 positions at $39.00 on 6/25 : $390.00
2) Realty Income Corp. (O): 10 positions at $44.50 on 6/25: $445.00
3) ONEOK, Inc. (OKE): 10 positions at $40.00 on 6/25: $400.00
4) Phillip Morris Intl., Inc.(PM): 5 positions at $82.92 on 6/25: $414.60
5) Royal Dutch Shell, plc (RDS.B): 10 positions at $59.50 on 6/26: $595.00

(BRK.B): $140.06, and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ): $99.64 on 6/25. I plan to add to these stocks whenever correction happens in them and I’ll be a happy camper to add during that time 🙂 Having a single stock gives me a quick market view on these companies: how they are doing and take action.

What do you think about these purchases?

Recent Stock Purchase III – June 2015

I’m into the 2nd month of my race towards earning my financial freedom: $3000 Per Month and I’m excited to post that I made several dividend stock purchases to keep up the momentum build from the last month of May. I invested a total sum of $2,347.54 in four companies that have dividend yields in the vicinity of 5%. While the fixed deposits and bonds yielding much lower, these Dividend Growth Investing (DGI) stocks are not only a great instrument to get higher yield but also could be used to help fuel growth to cover inflation in retirement.

Below are 4 companies that I put my dollars to jump start my goals for this year and keep at the race 🙂

1) Glaxo SmithKline plc (GSK)

GSK is a UK pharmaceutical company and yields north of 6%, which is awesome. I added 10 positions on 6/16 at $42.90 for a total of $429.90, making a total of 45 positions.

2) Realty Income (O)

O is a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) company and yields close to 5%. I bought 10 positions on 6/16 at $45.32 for $454.19 and added another 10 positions on 6/19 at $46.12 for $466.20, making a total investment of $920.39. There is a risk that REITs could fall further if rates were to jump. In that case, it will be an excellent opportunity to add more to my substantial overall 50 positions.

3) Phillip Morris Intl, Inc. (PM)

PM is a tobacco company and an offshoot of Altria (MO) and in the past, these have been nice wealth builder, not considering any ethical aspects. Due to dollar currency appreciation, it has corrected recently, sports close to 5% yield and at a good valuation. I bought 5 positions on 6/16 at $81.53 for a total of $408.64 and now making up a total of 25 positions.

4) Royal Dutch Shell plc (RDS B)

RDS B is an energy company based in UK and has a long rich history, however, due to oil price shock, it has massively corrected which provides a buying opportunity. I purchased 10 positions on 6/16 at $58.86 for a total of $589.60.

I’ve already starting receiving some dividends this month of June and excited to post at the end of this month.

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

2) Kinder Morgan Inc. (KMI): 5 positions at $40.00 on 6/11: $200.00

Freedom Portfolio Update – June 2015

There are many ways to earn income like real estate renting, dividend growth investing (DGI), online gigs, p2p lending, and many more. One is not necessarily better than the other and everyone has their own niche and passion. It still takes a lot of hard work to implement any of these tools to start earning passive income but, once the ball is set rolling, it compounds itself.

I’ve chosen Dividend Growth Investing (DGI) strategy as a starting point to build long-term wealth and later on build on it to add additional passive income tools in the kit for further growth. The goal remains: Earn $3000 Per Month in 3000 Days. Why $3000? Reason is that setting goal of $2000 or even $2500 will not be enough to cover the expenses for me and a goal like $4000 will be too high a barrier to cross, at-least where I’m standing now. Middle of the road: $3000 is a nice goal to shoot for, that should cover basic expenses for most of the folks, if you live frugally 🙂

I started my Freedom journey in May, 2015 and since then, I’m on a tear to scoop up dividend growth businesses to build up my passive dividend income. A total investment of $11,913.80 was made to buy some of the fabulous companies in May: AVA, BP, COP, DLR, GSK, KMI, MO, NOV, O, OHI, OKE, PM, RAI, T, and WPC. As Warren Buffet says we need to think about these beautiful ticker symbols as the real business that you own. I started out by owning a small pie of these whale.

I’ve not yet received any passive dividend income from above investments, expecting to start hitting this month that I’ll be posting. Stay tuned!!! I’m excited to receive my first paycheck arriving in the mail and start hitting the bank.

Full Disclosure: Long on all above mentioned companies.

Thanks for reading.

What do you think about the DGI path that I’m taking? Made right decision.
